Aussie Curves: Races

As I write this post my whole body aches, I have giant blisters on my feet, my thigh chaffing is becoming bearable, I am a walking zombie but hey I survived Derby Day just...  For those who follow my Instagram and Facebook page HOORAY finally I will stop talking and posting about Spring Racing, so without further a do.

Facinator:  Myer

Derby Day is traditionally black and white, I went with that and a touch of pink, I couldn't resist getting my nails done at Miss Fox and incorporated the pink with a brilliant cameo brooch from Etsy, some Mimco pink earrings and topped it off with a bright pink lipstick from Kit.

In a mad Bridget Jones moment I raced to Target on Friday night with my son in toe to get more big knickers as the pair I had were high waisted shorts but I could recall last time I wore them the leg rolled up constantly and the back rolled down so I was forever trying to adjust myself.  I ended up getting a pair of Dr Rey knickers and they were brilliant, not one complaint they stayed up for 14 hours, my chaf on the other hand was a different story, I did order Bandelettes but sadly they didn't arrive in time.

I was on my feet most of the day so meant I was in my shoes from 10am until Midnight hence the blisters on the soles of my feet but incredibly Melbourne put on a great day weather wise and the sensible Amara managed to not get burnt maybe it was the sun gods looking down on me after lending my sunscreen to a fellow train passenger on the way to Flemington and the bottle exploding and missing my dress by millimeters!

Have you had a good spring racing carnival?
