Two on Trend Tunics Two Ways

Spring is just around the corner and I am starting to fill my cupboards with some key pieces for spring / summer. Floral and Monochrome are both on trend of the warmer months so here is what I bought.

Plus sized tunics are in all the curvy stores but I have never bought one before now, I guess I have never known how to wear them so with the addition of the new season styles hanging nicely in my cupboard I am showing off these two very different tunics how I would wear them to work, to the park and out on the town.

This floral tunic is from Autograph, teamed with some skinny blue jeans, a black cardigan, some leather flats and a scarf I am ready to chase after my 2 year old at the park.  In summer I will ditch the cardi and scarf and add a pair of Havianas and be all set for the beach. A very comfy outfit! The tunic comes with a built in cami and ribbon tie see how it looks online here.

Jeans:  Autograph
Cardigan:  Jacqui E (Autumn)
Shoes:  Zara (current)
Scarf:  Mimco (2009)

For work I have worn the tunic tucked in with some pleather trim trousers, a black blazer, a flower brooch and a pair of loafers.  You could also tuck it into a pencil skirt and don some gorgeous heels.

Blazer:  M&S (2010)
Trousers:  Dream Diva
Brooch: Lovisa

My other plus sized tunic is a Monochrome one from City Chic.  This is marketed as a top but to me its a tunic, it is too long to be a t-shirt and not baggy enough to be an oversize top.  I got these boyfriend jeans in the New Look sale at a ridiculously cheap price.

Jeans:  New Look
Jacket:  Primark (2012)

Ready for a night out with the girls, I have thrown on some black jeggings, my Harlow Studio 54 Bomber Jacket and some wedge boots, ready to dance the night away!

Jacket:  Harlow
Jeans:  M&S (2013)
Shoes:  Next (2012)

Do you wear tunics?  How do you wear yours?  I am officially a convert.
